IK Multimedia Releases Amplitube Hendrix Edition

IK Multimedia recently released a new version of their incredible popular guitar amp plug-in, Amplitube. This semi-modular amp simulator sounds great, and has an interface that is familiar to guitarists.This new version, “Amplitube Jimi Hendrix Edition” includes models of extremely rare and collectible vintage stomp boxes, amp heads and cabinets to help recreate Jimi’s tone that changed the history of electric guitar forever.

This product is a cooperative project between IK Multimedia and Authentic Hendrix. Jimi’s father Al and daughter Janie founded Authentic Hendrix as a lucrative licensing operation. Check them out if you need anything from a Jimi t-shirt to a Jimi lava lamp.
